Carl Evans, 51, of Bridgeton died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 17, 2018.

 

Born in Bridgeton to John Ellis and the late Katherine Lowe Evans, he had been a resident of the Bridgeton area all of his life. He was raised by his mother and step-father, Claude Sr. and Katherine Evans.

 

Carl had been previously employed by the Acustaff and Man-Power Temp Agencies in Vineland. He had also worked for the family construction business, the former Evan's Concrete and Construction with his step-father, Claude for many years. In his free time, Carl enjoyed playing basketball and working out. Even in his younger years, Carl was known to hang out with the older crowd.

 

He is survived by; his siblings, Kathy Copes of Fairfield Twp. and Claude Evans, Jr. of Bridgeton; his biological father, John Ellis and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Evans.

 

Funeral services will be held at Wesley Memorial AME Zion Church, 582 Morton Ave. in Rosenhayn on Monday, March 26th at 1 PM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 11 AM to 1 PM prior to the services. Written condolences can be sent to the family through the funeral home website at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
