Obituary of Robert A Kline

Robert A. Kline, 79, of Deerfield Twp. died Tuesday evening, March 13, 2018 at his home.

Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Arnold B. Kline and Margaret Dare Kline, he was the husband of Margaret “Peggy” Davis Kline. Robert had been a resident of Deerfield Twp. for the past 27 years and prior to that he had lived in Leesburg.

Before his retirement, he had worked as a corrections officer at Southern State Correctional Facility-Phase Two in Delmont. In addition to his work at the prison, he had served as a Baptist Minister and attended Philadelphia College of Bible. Robert attended Rosenhayn United Methodist church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving his country during a time of peace.

In addition to his wife, “Peggy” he is survived by a daughter, Maryanne Sprengle and her husband, Gerry of FL; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Kline of FL; two step-daughters, Deborah Mathis and her husband, Joseph Sr. of FL and Karen Wolbert and her husband, Rusty of Hopewell Twp.; two sisters, Barbara Collier of MS and Patricia Steel of Virginia; a brother, Larry Kline and his wife, Linda of LA; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Robert was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy Kline and Peter Kline and a grandson.

Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Sunday, March 18th at 2 PM. Interment will take place at Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 12 PM to 2 PM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Rosenhayn United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 215 Rosenhayn, NJ 08352.
