Matthew Russell Ewing (Wolbert), age 28, of Fairfield Township died unexpectedly at home on Monday, June 18, 2012. A lifetime Fairfield Township resident, he was born on May 24, 1984 in Bridgeton and was the son of Alice M. Wolbert and her husband Ronald of Fairfield Township and Matthew D. Ewing of Stow Creek Township. He enjoyed music, fishing and all types of sports. In years past he was active in Babe Ruth Baseball and West Cumberland Little League. Russell was a creative person and also enjoyed drawing. In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by a brother and sisters, Krystal Albertson of Cedarville, Daniel Ewing of Stow Creek Township and Dana Wolbert of Fairfield Township; his paternal grandmother, Nancy Ewing of Stow Creek Township and stepmother, Lucy Lacey of Pittsgrove. He was predeceased by a son, Briant M. Ewing. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Thursday evening, June 21st at 7 PM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 6 to 7 PM prior to the services. Cremation and inurnment will take place on Friday at Laurel Lawn Crematory in Upper Deerfield Township. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions in Russell's memory be made to the Cumberland County SPCA, 1244 North Delsea Drive, Vineland, NJ 08360.
