Obituary of Margaret J. Nichols
Margaret J. Nichols, 92, of Upper Deerfield Twp., died on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at her home under the care of hospice and her family.
Born in Bridgeton to the late, Karl Haaf and Laura Yourison Haaf, she was the wife of the late William O. Nichols. Margaret had been a lifetime resident of Upper Deerfield Twp.
Prior to her retirement, Margaret had worked for the Moore School and Woodruff School in Upper Deerfield Twp. in the Cafeteria. She had also been employed by Millers at Cowtown. Margaret was a member of Friendship-Finley United Methodist Church and the National and Local Grange Association. In her free time, she enjoyed camping and belonged to the National Campers and Hikers Association.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda N. Gehring of Hopewell Twp. and Robin L. Taylor of Alloway Twp.; a son, Ronald E. Nichols of FL; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William O. Nichols; three sisters, Marion Long, Doris Baitinger and Jane Pettit and two brothers, Karl Haaf and George Haaf.
Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wednesday, January 10th at 2:30 PM. Interment will take place at Deerfield Methodist Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Margaret's memory to Friendship-Finley United Methodist Church, 252 Centerton Rd.
