Robert Gerald Branch, age 77, of Bridgeton, died Thursday afternoon, June 7, 2012 at the SJH Hospice Inpatient Center in Bridgeton following a brief illness. Born in Keene, NY on June 18, 1934, he was the son of the late Donald F. and Florence Husted Branch and was the husband of Sharlene Flanigan Branch. Following his high school graduation, Robert enlisted in the United States Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement he had worked for the Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton and the Durrand Glass Company in Millville. He was a member of the Deerfield Presbyterian Church. Besides his wife of 56 years, Sharlene, he is survived by; three sons, Kenneth D. (Donna) Branch of Upper Deerfield Twp., Jay T. (Theresa) Branch of Upper Deerfield Twp. and Jere A. (Terri) Branch of Bridgeton; nine grandchildren, Barbara (Steve) Wilchensky, Karen (Keith) Stoms, Allison Jengehino, Stephanie Branch, Kyle Branch, Erin Branch, Katelyn Branch, Kelsey Branch and Shannon Branch; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler White, Emily Wilchensky, Steven Wilchensky, Cody Capelli, Gianna Capelli, Angelica Boner, McKenna Hudson and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Everest D. Branch and two sisters, Mary E. Rose and Thelma M. Russo. Funeral Services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Monday, June 11th at 2 PM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 1 to 2 PM prior to the services. Burial will take place at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions in Mr. Branch's memory be made to Deerfield Presbyterian Church, Post Office Box 69, Deerfield Street, NJ 08313 or SJH Hospice Inpatient Center, P.O.
