Obituary of Herschel J. Garrison

Herschel "Bud" Garrison Sr. passed away at home surrounded by family on Friday, December 8, 2017 in Lower Alloways Creek Twp. at the age of 84.

He was the son of the late Herschel M. Garrison and Ida Cox Garrison and the husband of Lucille Jennings Garrison.

 Herschel is survived by his wife, Lucille, his 2 children Jim & Kim, 2 sisters Helen & Fran, 8 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Richard, his sister Caroline and granddaughter Bobbi Jo. Herschel was born 11/13/1933 in Millville and graduated from Salem High School in 1952. He married Lucille, his high school sweetheart in 1953. After moving to Millville, Herschel began working as a union carpenter. He was an active member of the Center Grove United Methodist Church and a member of the Evening Star Masonic Lodge in Cedarville for many years.

Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Friday, December 15th at 11 AM.  Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday evening, December 14th from 6 to 8 PM and on Friday morning from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services.  Interment will take place at Greenwood Memorial Park in Millville with a reception to follow at Hancocks Bridge Firehouse. Rev. Jack Schaser will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Herschel's life.
