Obituary of George P Armstead

George P. Armstead, age 87, of Bridgeton died Monday, May 28, 2012 at his home. A Bridgeton resident for over 20 years, he was born in Jettersville, VA on October 30, 1924 and was the husband of the late Dorothy Booker Armstead. He had also previously resided in Monroeville where he had been employed with Walter Kern Farms for many years. Surviving are three daughters, Rosemary Armstead of Vineland and Judy and Irene Armstead of Bridgeton; a sister, Elizabeth Brooks of Penns Grove; two brothers, Arthur Lee Armstead of Penns Grove and John Armstead of VA along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by four sons, George, Junior, Alan and Steve Armstead. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Friday, June 1st at 11 AM. Burial will take place at Yorktown Methodist Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services.
