Charles M. Nichols, age 60, of Cedarville died Saturday, May 19, 2012 at South Jersey Regional Medical Center. The son of the late Charles Nichols and Christine Walden Nichols and the husband of Darlynn Street Nichols, he was born in Bridgeton on June 24, 1951. He had lived at his present address in Cedarville since 2007 and prior to that had resided in Bridgeton. Before his retirement, he had been employed with the New Jersey Department of Transportation as a heavy equipment operator for eight years. He also worked for the Gould Trucking Company, B.T. Trucking Company and Leone Industries in Bridgeton. He enjoyed fishing and current events. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Darla Nichols of Millville; two sons, Jeremy Nichols and Aaron Nichols both of Cedarville; two brothers, Harold D. Nichols of Bridgeton and Gerald Nichols of Pittsgrove Township; two sisters, Patricia Nichols of Bridgeton and Brenda Wheatley of Orange and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Nichols. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 25th at 11 AM at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 to 11 AM prior to the services. Burial will take place at the Fordville Memorial Park in Fairfield Township.
