Obituary of Francis Sharp

            Francis “Nick” Sharp, 58 of Commercial Twp. died on Friday, August 4, 2017 at his home following an extended illness.

            Born in Vineland to Joann Sebraski Holton and the late Francis L. Sharp, he was the husband of Bertha “Ann” Sharp. Nick was raised in Atlantic City and moved to Bridgeton when he was around 8 years old. He had been a resident of Commercial Twp. for the past 9 years.

            He had worked as a painter for Barr Painting in Commercial Twp. for over 5 years. He had also been previously employed as a truck driver for the Cedarville Co-Op and at Santa Sweets in Cedarville as a pallet tagger and supervisor. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served as a quartermaster during peacetime in Germany. In his free time, Nick enjoyed fishing, watching the Philadelphia Eagles and in his younger years he played football for Bridgeton High School.

            In addition to his wife Ann, he is survived by a daughter, Kelsey Flora Sharp of FL; a granddaughter, Anastasia Sharp; his mother, Joann Holton of Fairfield Twp. and seven brothers.

            Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Monday, August 14th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
