Obituary of Mildred Bailey

Mildred Bailey, 74, of Bridgeton passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at her home. 

She was born in Virginia and was the daughter of the late William Bailey and Dorothy Stanford Bailey and had been a Bridgeton resident most of her life.

Before her retirement, Mildred was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Bridgeton Hospital for 25 years.  Prior to that she had worked at the Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Twp.

She was a member of Union Baptist Temple in Bridgeton.

Surviving are her six children, Kevin Winchester of Vineland, Timothy Winchester of Sicklerville, Lance Winchester of Seabrook, Kimberly Staples of Millville, Shelly Thomas of Bridgeton and Kenneth Walden of Bridgeton; two brothers, Stanley Whaley of DE and Robert Whaley of Vineland; four sisters, Phyllis Holmes of Vineland, Violet Mason-Bennett of Bridgeton, Dorothy Baynes of VA and Delores Collick of Philadelphia, PA.  She was predeceased by a son, Brian Bailey, three brothers, Randy Winchester, Ralph Bailey and William Bailey, Jr. and two sisters, Betty Tankeson and Lola Ellison.

Funeral services will be held at Union Baptist Temple, 29 Martin Luther King, Jr. Way, Bridgeton on Tuesday, July 25th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the church from 9 to 11 AM prior to the services.  Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp.  Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.  Written condolences may be sent to the family at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
