Obituary of Steven C. Couch

OBITUARY

            Steven C. Couch, 64, of Upper Deerfield Twp. died Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. 

            The son of the late Vernon L. Couch and Jean Nelson Couch he was the husband of Ana Ayala Couch.  He was born in Bridgeton and had been a lifetime Bridgeton area resident. 

            Prior to his retirement, Steven had been employed as a Corrections Officer at the South Woods State Corrections Facility.  Previous to that he had been employed with the Southern States Correctional Facility. 

            He was an avid golfer and bowler.

            In addition to his wife, Ana, he is survived by a son, Hector Vargas of Upper Deerfield Twp.; a daughter, Ana Boardley of Upper Deerfield Twp; three brothers, Vernon, Carl and Marlon Couch and five grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a son. Manuel Vargas, Jr.

            Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Tuesday, July 11th at 10 AM.  Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM.  Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp.  Written condolences can be sent to the family at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
