Obituary of William E. Overstreet, Jr.

William E. “Billy” Overstreet, Jr., 57, of Lawrence Twp. formerly of Vineland died on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at his home under the care of hospice and his daughter, Heather following an extended illness.

He was born in Bridgeton to the late, William E. Overstreet, Sr. and Mary Ann Mathis Overstreet. Billy had moved to Vineland in the early 1980's where he was a resident for most of his life before moving to Lawrence Twp. where he lived for the past several months.

He had been employed as a boiler technician for Vineland Electric for over 30 years and had been previously employed by Roto Rooter. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during peacetime in Norfolk, VA. In his free time, he liked to work out at the gym, ride his bicycle and play the lottery.

Billy is survived by; his daughter, Heather Vizinski of Lawrence Twp.; four grandchildren, Brandon Gooch, Shayna Gooch, Jason Vizinski and Ava Vizinski; four sisters, Debra McCann of Newfield, Delores Jeannette of Millville, Joyce Willis of Hopewell Twp. and Cindy Domico of Vineland; two brothers, Ronald Overstreet of Upper Deerfield Twp. and Steven Overstreet of Millville and several nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by; a son William E. “Willie” Overstreet, III and an infant twin sister, Diane Overstreet.

Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Monday, July 10th at 12 Noon. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 12 Noon prior to the services.
