 Sherman Moore, Jr. of 75, of Fairfield Twp. died on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at his home under the care of hospice.

 

Born in Bridgeton to the late Sherman Moore, Sr. and Fannie Camp Moore, he was the husband of Linda C. Cleveland Moore. Sherman had been a resident of Fairfield Twp. most of his life.

 

Prior to his retirement, he had worked as a roofer for Frazier construction. He had been previously employed as a sheet metal fabricator at West Co. and he also worked for Millville Dye and Finishing. Sherman was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam Conflict. In his free time, he enjoyed wood carving, trapping and hunting.

 

He is survived by; his wife, Linda Moore of Fairfield Twp.; two daughters, Kimberly Simonds and her husband, Wayne and Kelly Seay and her husband, Chris; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Rebecka, Sheila and James Simonds and Tyler, Taylor, Anthony, Austin and Zachary Johnson; a great grandson, Jaden; a sister, Ruth Burridge; two nieces and a nephew.

 

Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 160 Main Street, Cedarville on Wednesday, June 28th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Old Stone Church Cemetery in Fairfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
