Obituary of Loyd R. Moore

Loyd R. Moore, 76, of Fairfield Twp. passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 at his home under the care of his family and hospice. 

            The husband of Patricia A. Moore, he was born in Dandridge, TN and was the son of the late Nick Moore and Edna Chrisman Moore.  He had lived in Fairfield Twp. for the past 11 years and prior to that had resided in Bridgeton.

            Before his retirement, Loyd was employed as a Plant Artist for 25 years at Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton.  After Owens he worked in maintenance for Cumberland County for 29 years. 

            He deeply enjoyed drawing and playing the guitar.  He currently attended and was active at the Fairton Christian Center.

            In addition to his wife Pat, he is survived by two sons, Rocky L. Moore and his wife, Denise of Pittsgrove and Nicholas C. Moore and his wife Rachel of Millville and three grandchildren, Amanda, Brandon and Sabrina.  He was predeceased by a son, Steven L. Moore and two sisters, Jane Edmonds and Betty Tayner.

            Funeral services will be held at the Fairton Christian Center, 199 Fairton-Millville Road, Fairton on Wednesday, May 31st at 11 AM.  Friends will be received at the church from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services.  Interment will take place at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton.  Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.  Written condolences can be sent to the family at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
