Gerhard Schilling, 59, of Bridgeton died on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Manor Care in West Deptford following a brief illness.
Born in Bridgeton to Lena Metzger Schilling and the late Johannes Schilling, he was the husband of the late Toni Barnabei. Gerhard was a Bridgeton resident for most of his life but had lived in North Carolina briefly.
Gerhard had been most recently employed at F&S Produce in Rosenhayn. He had been previoulsy employed by Minots in Bridgeton, Seabrook Bros. And Sons in Upper Deerfield Twp. and McClain Company in Pennsgrove. In his free time, Gerhard liked to go fishing and crabbing. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved spending time with his dog, Special.
He is survived by; two children, Kelly Schilling of Upper Deerfield Twp. and Ryan Schilling and his wife, Kimberly of Upper Deerfield Twp.; his mother, Lena Schilling of Upper Deerfield Twp.; two step-sons, Mike Barnabei of Rosenhayn and Steven Cooper of Bridgeton; a brother, Harold Schilling; four sisters, Claudia Rice, Angie Athey, Bridgett Bundy and Barbara Franks and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by; his wife, Toni Schilling and a grandson, Justin Barnabei.
