Obituary of Marion J. Kienzle

Marion J. Kienzle, 90, of Hopewell Twp. died on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Bishop McCarthy Residence in Vineland.
Born in Camden to the late Donald V. Stanton and Janet Lilian Towers Stanton, she was the wife of the late Albert P. Kienzle. Marion had lived at her present address in Hopewell Twp. for 55 years and before that she had resided in Bridgeton and Millville.
Prior to her retirement, Marion had worked at Bell Telephone and the former Fashion Shop in her younger years. She had also volunteered at the Nail House Museum in Bridgeton and Bridgeton Hospital. Marion was a charter member of the Sweet Adelines Barbershop Quartet. She was also a member of the Deerfield Elks Lodge, the American Legion Post 95 Auxiliary and the “Leave Em Laughing Gang” which was a comedy group that would visit nursing homes to entertain residents. Marion loved music and singing and could play the piano by ear.
She is survived by; a son, A. Paul Kienzle, Jr. of Bridgeton; a daughter, Sandra Potts of Upper Pittsgrove Twp.; seven grandchildren, A. Paul Kienzle, III, Kimberly Dailyda, Jarvis Ball, Robert Rain, Jr., Christine Kienzle-Serenbetz, Sarah Veteri and Samantha Sanders; two brothers, Donald Stanton of CA and Jack Stanton of Shiloh; her daughter-in-law, Sarah A. Kienzle; Betty Jane's good friend, Linda Gatier; 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Albert, she was preceded in death by; a daughter, Betty Jane Kienzle; two brothers, Robert Stanton and Raymond Stanton and two sisters, Wilma “Billie” Nikkel and Janet McCormick.
Funeral services will be held at Deerfield Presbyterian Church, 530 Old Deerfield Pike, Bridgeton on Friday, March 10th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 9:30 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Written condolences can be sent to the family through the funeral home website at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
