Obituary of Beatrice A. Shrouder

Beatrice A. (Prettyman) Shrouder surrounded by her family went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 27, as she would say she was 39 and holding (74 years old). She was born on October 12, 1942 in Harmony New Jersey and raised by her parents Wilbert and Emily(Fox) Prettyman. She spent the majority of her life living in Fairton. She attended Fairton School and graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1961. She was married to Donald L. Shrouder on February 24, 1962 and had two daughters, Betty Jane, Carol Ann and many other “adopted” children. She held several jobs over the years but her favorite was watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Every aspect of her life was her commitment to her family. She enjoyed eating crabs, watching “her” Phillies and Eagles games, going to a good yard sale, the boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ, watching game and cooking shows, trips to Disney and Nashville, and being surrounded by her family. She is survived by her mother Emily Fox of Millville, and her children, Betty J. Shrouder of Fairton and her children; Jennifer Ore (partner Terence Brown) of Pennsgrove and their son Gabriel Brown, Mary Ore of Upper Deerfield and Jimmie Ore II of Fairton, and Jimmie Ore III of Fairton; Carol Erhart of Quinton Twp. and her husband Robert Erhart, Jr. and his children Harlie, Robert, III and Hunter, and her brother Donald Prettyman of Egg Harbor Township. She was predeceased by her husband Donald Shrouder in June, her father Wilbert Prettyman, sisters Gladys Wyckoff and Betty Whitaker. She also leaves behind many adopted children including Richard Wyckoff, Jr. of Elmer and Darren Pierce of Hopewell Twp. and devoted nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at Maranatha Baptist Church, 1524 Bridgeton-Millville Pike, Millville on Friday, March 3rd at 10 AM. Friends will be received at the church on Thursday evening, March 2nd from 6 to 8 PM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville.
