Leonard C. Faison, 63, of Bridgeton died on Wednesday evening, January 11, 2017 at SJ Extended Care in Bridgeton. Leonard was born in Bridgeton to the late William H. Faison and Goldie Mae Folks Faison. He had been a resident of Bridgeton all of his life. Prior to his retirement, Leonard had been employed at B & B Poultry in Rosenhayn for about five years. He had been previously employed at Four Star Poultry in Bridgeton and various construction jobs in the Bridgeton area. He also played guitar and keyboard with the Gospel Starlights,the Russell Singers and Faith Chapel. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Bridgeton. Leonard is survived by; his wife, Dorothy Mae Faison of Tampa, FL; his step-son, Craig Austin of Tampa, FL; two brothers, James Faison of Bridgeton and Henry Faison of GA and two sisters, Delores Butts of Bridgeton and Mary Jones of Fairfield Twp. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 737 Buckshutem Rd., Bridgeton on Friday, January 20th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the church form 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Written condolences can be sent to the family through the funeral home website at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
