Herman Joseph "Joey" Rabbai, II, 29, of Gloucester City died unexpectedly on Monday, December 12, 2016 at his home.
He is survived by; his parents, Herman (Boogs) & Joann Rabbai (nee Ore), two brothers, Justin & Jarred Rabbai and his fiancé and long-time soul mate, Katherine (Kate) Costello, who is expecting their child in April. He is survived by a large close-knit family including several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Born in Bridgeton, Joey had lived in Gloucester City for the past year and prior to that he had lived in Blackwood. He had grown up in Hopewell Twp. Joey was an avid golfer and a stand-out star of Cumberland Regional High School's Golf Team. He also had a love for fishing and the outdoors. Joey enjoyed spending time with the love of his life and their two Labrador Retrievers (especially at Fortescue) and was so looking forward to becoming a dad. He loved being with his family. Joey was a very loving and compassionate person with a smile that would warm your heart. He had a very special way with children. Joey touched the lives of all the people he encountered. He was a very loving man with special qualities who will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway on Monday, December 19th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Old Stone Church Cemetery in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the services. Written condolences can be sent
