Francis B. Hickman, Jr., age 69, of Hopewell Township died unexpectedly Friday evening, April 6, 2012 at his home. He was the husband of Patricia Moore Hickman and was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Francis B. Hickman and Shirley Koller Hickman on May 25, 1942. He had been a Hopewell Township resident for the past four years and had lived in Bridgeton prior to that. Before his retirement, Mr. Hickman had been employed with the Clement Papas Company in Seabrook for many years. He had coached baseball in Elmer and Soccer in Pittsgrove and was a member of the Willow Grove Fire Company for several years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Diana Travaline of Hopewell Twp.; three sons, James of Upper Deerfield Twp., John of Bedminster and Carl Hickman of Vineland; a brother, Richard Hickman of West Palm Bay, FL, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, James and Joseph Hickman and a sister, Judith Miller. Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 at Seabrook Fire Hall, 90 Foster Road, Upper Deerfield Township, NJ at 12 Noon. Cremation and inurnment took place at Laurel Lawn Crematory in Upper Deerfield Twp. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations be sent to the Hickman Family c/o Colonial Bank, 85 West Broad Street, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
