Obituary of Benjamin N. Ediss

Benjamin N. Ediss, 76, of Vineland died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 20, 2016 in the Emergency Room at Inspria Medical Center-Vineland. The husband of Beverly Lovell Ediss, Ben was born in Washington, D.C. to the late Jacob S. Ediss and Wilamena Miller Ediss. He had been a Vineland resident most of his life. He was a veteran and served his country in the United States Navy. He was self employed as a Title Abstractor for 20 years. Prior to having his own business, Ben had been employed with several title companies in the area. He spent many hours performing his work at the Cumberland County Court House where he was known to many. Ben deeply loved his wife and family and enjoyed music, gardening and bird watching. In addition to his wife, Beverly, he is survived by his four children, Bret Ediss of TX, Cheri Lynn Ediss of Atlantic City, Mark B. Ediss of GA and Brandi Ediss of MA; two brothers, Louis Ediss and Wendell Ediss both of VA and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Frye. Memorial services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Monday evening, November 28th at 6 PM.
