Destiny Monee Smith, age 13, the daughter of Davita Smith-Coley and Bernard Coley went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 9, 2012 in Bridgeton, New Jersey. Destiny was born on October 2, 1998 in Camden, New Jersey. Destiny was a 7th grade student at Quinton Elementary School in Quinton, NJ where she was very active in playing basketball. She also loved to sing and participate in talent shows. Destiny touched the lives of everyone she met. She was a faithful member Hopewell Church of God under the leadership of Pastor Aaron Parish. Destiny was an outgoing, funny, and loving person who loved all of her family, especially her mother. She leaves to cherish fond memories: her parents; Davita Smith Coley and Bernard Coley; one brother, James F. Murray, III (Tres); her grandparents; James and Darlene Beals of Bridgeton, and Mary Coley of Pleasantville; five aunts, Delina Smith of Bridgeton, Deseree George (Angel) of Bridgeton, Georgiana McCall (Gerald) of Millville, Martha Pitts of Millville, and godmother; aunt Anna Clayton-White (Everick) of Bridgeton; seven uncles, James Beals, Jr. of Bridgeton, Jeremy Beals of Bridgeton, Thomas Coley (Kathleen) of South Bend, IN, Bradford Coley of Columbus, GA, Robert Coley of Jackson, MS, George Coley, of Mays Landing, and Alphonso Gomez (Eugenia) of Columbus, GA; her very best friend, Jada Berrios of Bridgeton; and a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends. Destiny was preceded in death by; her grandfather, Curtis Smith; grandparents, Willie Earl and Charlie Mae Spells; great-grandmother, Lela Williams and great-grandparents, Roman and Bessie Jones. Memorial Services will be held at Crusaders for Christ Church, 33 Reeves Rd, Bridgeton, NJ, on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 11 AM. Arrangements are under the directions of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Destiny's memory may be made to the Destiny Smith Memorial Fund c/o Davita Smith Coley and Rudolph Bernard Coley or at any branch of Susquehanna Bank.
