Sandra L. Hymer, age 70, of Upper Deerfield Township died Monday evening, April 9, 2012 at her home following a 15 year period of declining health. Born on April 25, 1941 in Salem, she was the daughter of the late David Lang and Leona Orr Lang and was the wife of Howard F. Hymer, Jr. She had lived in Upper Deerfield Township for 45 years and in Quinton prior to that. Sandy had been employed as an LPN at Bridgeton Hospital for 24 years prior to her retirement. She had also previously worked as a Hostess at the Centerton Inn and at the Bait Box Restaurant at Hancock's Harbor. In addition to her husband Howard, she is survived by two sons, Steven A. Hymer of Woodbury and Howard F. Hymer, III of Hopewell Township; one sister, Patricia Campbell of Melbourne, FL; a sister in law, Dorothy Lang of Woodstown; two grandsons, Thomas R. Hymer of Pittsgrove Twp. and Jacob Ryan Hymer of Hopewell Twp. and a great-grandson, T.J. Hymer of Bridgeton. She was predeceased by a brother Thomas Lang. Memorial services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Friday afternoon at 3:00 PM. Friends will be received from 2:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the services. Cremation and inurnment took place at Laurel Lawn Crematory, Upper Deerfield Township.
