Obituary of Arsoney Syring

Arsoney “Zona” Syring, 88, of Upper Deerfield Twp. died on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Bradshaw, WV to the late Jacob Rowe and Myrtie Mullins Rowe, she was the wife of the late Robert W. Syring. Arsoney had been a resident of Upper Deerfield Twp. since the early 1950's. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a cafeteria manager at the Bridgeton Middle School. She had also been employed previously at Owens Illinois Glass Co. in Bridgeton. “Zona” was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bridgeton and had volunteered at the soup kitchen with the St. Vincent de Paul Society at the Parish of the Holy Cross-St. Theresa Church in Bridgeton. In her free time, she enjoyed flower gardening, sewing and quilting. She is survived by her two sons, Robert J. Syring and his wife Carol Lee of Upper Deerfield Twp. and Keith A. Syring and his wife Donna of Frederick, MD along with six granddaughters and five great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Barney and Arnold. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Thursday, October 6th at 1 PM. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 12 Noon to 1 PM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Arsoney's memory to St. Vincent de Paul Society Soup Kitchen, 46 Central Ave., Bridgeton, NJ 08302 or Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 35 Bank Street, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
