Obituary of Mary M. Smith

Mary M. Smith, 95, of Upper Deerfield Twp. died on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Inspira Medical Center-Vineland. An Upper Deerfield Twp. resident for 76 years, she was born in Greenwich Twp. and was the daughter of the late Oley Seeney and Sara Carney Seeney and the wife of the late George B. “GB” Smith. Prior to moving to Upper Deerfield she had resided in Shiloh. Before her retirement, she had been employed at the former Seibel and Stern Clothing Company in Bridgeton for 22 years. She was a member of Friendship Finley United Methodist Church in Upper Deerfield Twp. Surviving are her two daughters, Peggy Sutton of Carney’s Point and Betty Williams of WA; her son, Gregory Smith of Pittsgrove, 6 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp on Saturday, Sept 10th at 11 AM. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions in Mary’s memory be made to the Friendship Finley United Methodist Church.
