Joseph J. Morgan, age 95, of Vineland died on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Lincoln Specialty Care in Vineland following an extended illness. He was born in Malaga to the late Herbert J. Morgan and Anna Johnson Morgan and was the husband of Dorothy M. House Morgan. Mr. Morgan grew up in Winslow, and then moved to Cedarville where he resided until 1967, before moving to Vineland. He had worked for Shamrock Landscaping in Vineland until retiring one year ago. Prior to that, he had worked as a mechanic for Wheaton Industries in Millville, Cresci Aviation in Vineland, and Cedarville Sand and Brick Co. in Cedarville. He also served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. at Parvins State Park. Joseph was an avid horse owner and horseback rider. He also enjoyed deer hunting in his spare time. He was known as a fixture at Lois's Luncheonette in Vineland. Besides his wife, he is survived by: two daughters, Joann Messick of Hopewell Township and Linda Morgan of Vineland; a son, Herbert Morgan and his wife, Christine, of Vineland; two sisters, Ida Tucci of Berlin and Linda Mints of Dividing Creek; a brother, James Herb Morgan of Centre Grove; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by; a brother, Lawrence "Skip" Morgan and a sister, May Waddell. Funeral Services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 160 Main Street, Cedarville on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville. In lieu of flowers contributions in Joseph J. Morgan's memory can be made to the Newport United Methodist Church, 340 Methodist Road, Newport, NJ 08345-0343.
