Lenora “Hester” Berry, 91, of Shiloh died on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Inspira Medical Center-Vineland. Born in Wayside W.VA to the late Fleet M. and Ellen Pitzer, she was the wife of the late Joseph W. Berry, Sr. Hester had been a resident of Shiloh since 1960 and prior to that she had lived in Bridgeton. Prior to retirement Hester operated Berry’s Farm Market in Shiloh for 41 years. She was an active member of First Wesleyan Church since 1980. She was active in the prison ministry of the church since 1981. She had been recognized by the correctional facilities for her efforts. In her free time, Hester loved to tend to her flowers and spend time with her family. She also felt compelled to bring people back to the church. When Hester was younger she loved to dance, especially the “Jitterbug”. She is survived by her children, Joyce Ann Cortes of Millville, Joseph W. Berry Jr. and his wife, Carol of Hopewell Twp.; a sister Mildred Lowery of Hilldale, W. VA, and a brother Rodger Pitzer of W. VA; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Pitzer and Robert Pitzer. Funeral Services will be held at the First Wesleyan Church, 200 Laurel Heights Dr., Bridgeton on Monday August 8th at 11 AM. Internment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to services. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
