James D. Tuthill, 62, of Pittsgrove died suddenly on Friday, July 22, 2016 the result of injuries he sustained in an automobile accident in Pittsgrove Twp.
Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of Mildred Ruff Tuthill of Pittsgrove and the late Leslie E. Tuthill. He had been a Pittsgrove Twp. resident most of his life.
James had made his career serving in the United States Coast Guard as a Boatsman in Cape May for 20 years. He then transferred into the United States Army and in was stationed in England and Beirut. He received honors for his service from President Reagan.
In addition to his mother, he survived by a brother, Curney Tuthill of Pittsgrove and a half-brother Buddy Tuthill of Upper Deerfield Twp. He was predeceased by a half- brother, Jay Tuthill.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
