Obituary of Addison W. Mehaffey

Addison W. “Rooster” Mehaffey, 56, of Fairfield Twp. died Friday, July 8, 2016 as a result of injuries sustained in motor vehicle accident in Perryville, Maryland. Addison was born in Elmer to Ellen Rich Anderson of Fairton and the late Gilmer C. Mehaffey. He had been a resident of Fairfield Twp. for 4 years and prior to that had resided in Elmer. He was currently employed as a truck driver with Daimler Trucks Corp. in Swedesboro. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing and hunting. In addition to his mother, Ellen, he is survived by a son, Addison P. Mehaffey of Woodstown and his mother, Sherrie Mehaffey; a step-son, John Davy of Quinton; a granddaughter, Lillian Davy and five siblings, Cindy Sooy of Fairton, Gilmer C. Mehaffey, Jr. of Fairton, Tracy Mehaffey of Millville, Robinson Mehaffey of Alloway Twp. and Rocky Mehaffey of Millville. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Tuesday, July 19th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Deerfield Methodist Cemetery.
