Joseph A. Sorantino, 85, of Cedarville died on Tuesday, July 5th, 2016 at Inspira Medical Center-Vineland. Born in Bridgeton to the late Dennis Sorantino and Florence Kenelia Sorantino, he was the husband of Clarissa Bowman Sorantino for 63 years who he loved and adored and has been a resident of Cedarville for all of his life. Joe was currently employed with the Agmart Farms Corp. and had formerly owned and operated Jones Island Farms in Cedarville. He had previously co-owned and operated Sorantino Farms, Inc. in Cedarville with his late brother, Dennis “Danny” Sorantino. In addition he had worked many years side by side with his family at Cedarbrook Farms in Cedarville which was established by his late father and uncles. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and every evening taking a ride around the farm with his wife Clarissa. He had attended the Parish of the Holy Cross-St. Michaels Church in Cedarville. In addition to his wife, Clarissa he is survived by his two children, Joseph A. Sorantino, Jr. and his wife, Vanessa of Cedarville and Flossie Ale and her husband, Rodney of Hopewell Twp.; two grandsons, David Joseph Ale and his wife, Kimberley and Brian Adam Ale and his wife Lexi; three step-grandsons, Frank DeVol, Anthony DeVol and Jan Albertson; a great-granddaughter, Taylor Brook Ale and 4 step-great-grandchildren which are Ashley Guise and husband Russell, Douglas Sorantino, Briana and Joseph Albertson. Joe also had two great-great granddaughters, Giavonna and Arabella Guise. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis “Danny” Sorantino and a grandson, Denis Christopher. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 160 Main Street, Cedarville.
