Josephine M. Pierce, 56, of Bridgeton died on Wednesday June 15, 2016 at home under the care of hospice. Josephine was born in Salem to the late Littleton Pierce and Hattie Harmon Pierce. She had been a Bridgeton and Fairfield Twp. resident most of her life. Prior to her retirement, she had been a school bus driver for the Vineland Public Schools for 18 years. She was a member of the Bridgeton Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. In her free time, Josephine enjoyed making jewelry as a hobby. She is survived by her four sons, Elmer Pierce of Bridgeton, John Pierce of Sicklerville, Deon Williams and his wife Lakeysha of Millville and Andrew Pierce of Bridgeton; three brothers, Elwood Pierce of Seabrook, James Pierce of Bridgeton and Mark Pierce of Bridgeton; a sister, Kathleen Sample of DE and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lira Williams; two sisters, Mary Ellen Heggs and Florence Pierce and a brother, Littleton Pierce, Jr. Memorial Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 691 Irving Avenue, Bridgeton on Saturday, June 18th at 3:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township. Written condolences can be sent to the family at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
