Obituary of Christine W. Torres

Christine W. Torres, 81, of Upper Deerfield Twp. died following an extended illness on Monday, May 30, 2016 at her home under the care of hospice. Born in Clayton, GA to the late Fred Williams and Ollie Jones Williams, she was the wife of Guillermo Torres. Christine had been raised and lived in GA for 22 years until moving to Hot Springs, NC where she lived for ten years. She then relocated to Seabrook in Upper Deerfield Twp. where she resided for the rest of her life. Prior to her retirement, Christine had worked in the Housekeeping Department at the former Manheim Nursing Center in Bridgeton for seven years. She had also been previously employed by Venice Maid in Vineland for 22 years. In her free time, Christine enjoyed playing Bingo, shopping and visiting flea markets. She was known as a great mom who was deeply loved by her family. She is survived by; her husband, Guillermo Torres of Upper Deerfield Twp.; two sons, Harley Baker and his wife, Susan of Coatsville, PA and Albert Baker and his wife, Lisa of Liberty, ME; a brother, Harley Williams of El Cahon, CA; a sister, Pauline Williams of Clayton, GA; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by; a son, Danny Ray Baker and one brother and one sister. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, June 4th at 10 AM. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening, June 3rd from 6 PM to 8 PM and on Saturday morning, June 4th from 9 AM to 10 AM prior to the services.
