Loretta M. Floyd, 74, of Bridgeton, passed away at Cooper University Hospital on Friday, March 8, 2024. Born in Bridgeton to the late Danti Chiari and Mary May Chiari. She was the wife to late William Floyd. At the age 6 her family moved to Upper Deerfield Twp. where she remained a resident for more than 50 years before moving back to Bridgeton and resided for the last 15 years. Loretta had worked as a cashier at her family's store, “Chiari's Market” in Upper Deerfield Twp. for over 20 years until its closing. Loretta had quite the green thumb, she always knew how to care for plants and flowers, and was able to bring sickly vegetation back to life. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling and attending flower shows. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing on their boat and spending time with family and friends. She was an animal lover and enjoyed bird watching. Loretta can be remembered for her outgoing personality. She is survived by; her daughter, Jeri Rizzo; her step-children, Billy Floyd, Jessica Floyd, Tiffany Floyd, Paige Floyd, and Gabriel Floyd; her sister, Diana Roller; her grandchildren, Allison Gottardi, Alexandria Miller (Wayne) , Alyssa Curtis; and her great-grandchildren, Barret Miller, Beckem Miller, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by; her parents, Danti and Mary Chiari; and her husband, William Floyd. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14th, at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deeerfield Twp. from 6PM to 8PM.
