Obituary of Shirley A. Gandy

Shirley A. Gandy, 78, of Bridgeton, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 under the care of her family and hospice. Born in Camden, NJ to the late James Risley and Philomena Dennis, she was the wife of the late Harry Gandy. She grew up in Millville, and had been a Bridgeton resident for over 58 years. Shirley had worked at the Bridgeton Deli for over 40 years. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and Blitz the family dog, dancing, and listening to her favorite musical artist, Elvis Presley. Shirley was a people person and enjoyed socializing, she also loved to cook and feed others. She is survived by; her children, Eric Gandy Sr. of Bridgeton, Shannon Gandy (Daniel Rivera) of Bridgeton, Tanya Acevedo (Satpal) of Bridgeton, Jorge Acevedo Jr. (Kristy) of Millville, and Sophia Acevedo of Bridgeton; her siblings, Phillis and Walt; her grandchildren, Brittanie, Eric Jr., Bricenn, Natasha, Anthony, Joshua, Shanyiah, Jay'ron, Clar'nayja, and Samyia; 14 great-grandchildren; her long time companion, Cliff; and Blitz, the family dog. She was preceded in death by; her husband, Harry Gandy; her sons Mark Gandy, and Adam Acevedo; and her brothers, Frank and Bob. A viewing will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp., on Tuesday, November, 21st from 12 NOON to 2 PM.
