Obituary of Willard C. Caudill

Willard Cecil Caudill, 79, of Malaga passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Arno, Virginia he was the son of the late Doc Caudill and Viola Kress Caudill and was the husband of Elizabeth Starrett Caudill. He had been a Malaga resident since 1986 and had lived in Williamstown prior to that. Cecil was a veteran and had served his country in the United States Army. Before his retirement, he had been employed as a tree surgeon with the Quaker City Tree Surgeons and with Asplundh Tree Expert Company for many years. He was also an experienced country singer and songwriter with his band, “Cecil Caudill and the Downhomers”. In his free time Cecil also enjoyed fishing. In addition to his wife, Liz, he is survived by three children, Jamie Lynne Caudill and her husband, Joshua Genereux of Voorhees, Richard Caudill of FL and Misty Caudill of NC; his siblings, Robert Caudill, Jonas “Sonny” Caudill, Debra Jaggers, Ann Pearl Woody, Ella Jean Hill, Lillian Whipple. He was predeceased by his brothers and sister, David Caudill, Danny Caudill and Patsy Woody. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Saturday, September 30th at 3:00 PM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Olivet Cemetery in Pittsgrove Township.
