Thomas Brown, age 71, of Bridgeton died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden. The husband of Clarencetine Shields Brown, he was born in St. Francisville, LA on January 1, 1942 to the late Abraham Brown and Mary Dukes Brown. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Brown owned and operated Tom's Moving and Hauling in Vineland and also Tom's Seafood. He was a member of Union Baptist Temple in Bridgeton and also attended Shiloh Baptist Church in Vineland. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his stepmother, Addie Brown of New Orleans, LA; a son, Pastor Kato E. Brown (Cynthia) of Millville; four daughters, Dr. Thomasina A. Jones (Cristopher, Sr.) of Pittsgrove, Deborah J. Brown of Fairton, Darleen N. Andfield (Barry) of Upper Deerfield Twp. and I'esha K. Thomas (Matthew) of Quincy, MA; 11 grandchildren including Shakeem T. Brown of Bridgeton, Lakesha Milbourne of Millville and Zakiya S. Brown of Bridgeton whom he helped raise; 15 great-grandchildren and a nephew, Robert Ruffin of Mullica Hill whom he also helped raise. He was predeceased by two sisters, Rose Mary Powell and Margaret Ruffin and a Brother, Alan Brown. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11th at 11 AM at Union Baptist Temple in Bridgeton. Friends will be received from 9 to 11 AM prior to the services at the church. Burial will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
