Please share a memory of Arthur to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Arthur J. “Jim” Printz, 80, of Stow Creek Twp. died on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the NJ Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland.

Born in Northfield to the late Arthur W. Printz and Ethel VanSant Printz, he was the husband of the late Shirley Frazier Printz.

The only thing he wanted his obituary to say was that he loved the Lord but his family is proud of his accomplishments and wished to list a few. Jim graduated Bridgeton High School in 1954 and enlisted in the Air Force the same year.  He was stationed in Kansas on the Smokey Hill Air Force Base. Jim was a member of the Strategic Air Command where one of his duties was loading B52 bombers. He quickly rose to the rank of Airman 3rd class and was stationed in England briefly. Upon separation from the Air Force in 1957, Jim began working for 7-Up where he delivered products and serviced machines in Cumberland, Ocean, Atlantic and Cape May Counties while he attended Cumberland County College. He graduated in 1968 and then enrolled at Glassboro State College where he graduated in 1970 Suma Cum Laude with a degree in Liberal Arts. Shortly after graduation, Jim was hired as a history teacher at Pennsville High School where he was loved by all his students who continued to send cards well after he left to start his own business. He founded Cumberland Engraving in 1973 and continued to build the business until 1999 when he sold it to retire. Jim loved the Lord Jesus with all of his heart, mind, body and soul and enjoyed studying the Bible. He was a Deacon at Pearl Street Baptist Church where he was a member for many years. He also enjoyed playing the drums and keyboard where he often entertained shut-ins in nursing homes.

He is survived by his daughter, Gail Printz Mazza and her husband, Garry of Bridgeton; two grandchildren, Kristopher Mazza and his wife, Amy and Jaime Mazza Gomez and her husband, Oscar all of Vineland and five great grandchildren, Alexandria, Kristian, Emilia, Kolten and Silas. He was predeceased by two sisters, Ellen Hanson and Susan Printz and a granddaughter, Heather Mazza.
