            Carrie E. Lockley, 78, of Upper Deerfield Twp. died on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Inspira Medical Center-Vineland.

 

            Born in Port Norris to the late William Barber, Jr. and Jeanette Jacobs, she was the wife of the late Samuel Lockley. Carrie had been an Upper Deerfield Twp. resident for the past 10 years and prior to that she had lived in Virginia and California.

 

            She had been a self employed beautician by trade. Carrie was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church in Port Norris.

 

            She is survived by five children, D'Andrea Barber of AZ, Darryl Lockley of Burlington, Nadine Lockley of Upper Deerfield Twp., Rynel Lockley of Millville and Chantall Lockley of VA; six sisters, Darlene Barber, Donna Dixon, Vernetti Barber, Carolyn Alves, Deanna McNair and Karen Dozier; a brother, John Jacobs, Jr.; two cousins she was raised with, Adella Barron and Cora Jones; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her, William Barber, Sr. and Laura Jane Barber and a sister, Sonya Corley.

 

            Funeral services will be held at John Wesley United Methodist Church, Ogden Ave, Port Norris on Saturday, September 23rd at 1 PM. Interment will take place at Haleyville Methodist Cemetery in Commercial Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 11 AM to 1 PM prior to the services.
