Glenn E. Brooks, 65, of Fairfield Twp. died unexpectedly at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

 

Born in Tuscaloosa, AL to the late Luzell Pickett and Sarah Brooks Pickett, he was the husband of Carlleen Gravley Brooks. After moving to NJ in the mid 1950s, he was a Bridgeton area resident most of his life.

 

Prior to his retirement, Glenn had worked on the assembly line at General Motors in New Castle, DE for over eight years. He had been previously employed as part of the kitchen staff at the former Midway Inn in Vineland. In his free time, Glenn loved listening to music of all types, fishing, working as a DJ and flower gardening. His family described him as a “tinkerer” because he could engineer something just by looking at it.

 

Glenn is survived by; his wife Carleen Brooks of Fairfield Twp.; two daughters, Fay Cook of Vineland and Glentia Brooks of Fairfield Twp.; a son, Anthony Harris of Fairfield Twp.; a sister, Vera Coles of Fairfield Twp.; a brother, Willie Edward Brooks of Fairfield Twp. and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by; three brothers, Morris Turner, Franklin Pickett and Lauddie Pickett and a sister, Fannie Taylor.

 

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp. Written condolences can be sent to the family through the funeral home website at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
