Obituary of Mary L. Ferguson

Mary L. Ferguson, 84, of Commercial Twp. of died on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at her home under the care of hospice.

            Born in Bessville, Missouri to the late Shellie Ray Irvin and Hattie Mae Hale Irvin, she was the wife of the late Thomas Marion Ferguson. Mary had most recently been living in Commercial Twp. with her son, David and had lived in Missouri as before moving to NJ.

            Prior to her retirement, Mary had owned and operated her own restaurant Ferguson's Place in Carthage, MO. She had also been a cook at the Lucky 7 restaurant in MO. In her free time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking, reading, sewing and spending time with her loved ones.

            She is survived by; eight children, Nancy Przygoda of MO, Lonnie Ferguson of NJ, David Ferguson of NJ, Brenda McLeod of OR, Joseph Ferguson of CA, Shiela Smith of FL, Lee Ferguson of NJ and Theresa Turner of NJ; a brother, Sonny Irvin of MO; three sisters, Violet Hazelwood of MO, Glenda Davis of MO and Lola Gibson of MO; 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by; three sons, Thomas Ferguson, Larry Irvin and Donald Ferguson; a granddaughter, Laura Lynn Ferguson; a great-grandson, Kenneth Skelton; five brothers, Pearley Irvin, Shellie Irvin, Jr. Jerome Irvin, Clarence Irvin and Curtis Irvin and a sister, Beulah McKenna.

            Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Thursday, June 22nd at 11 AM. Interment will take place privately at Olivet Cemetery at a later date. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
