Obituary of Donald A. Messick

Donald A. Messick, Sr., 75, of Bridgeton died Friday, September 23, 2016 at his home under the care of Hospice. The husband of Elizabeth “Betty” Hemple Messick, he was a lifetime Bridgeton resident and the son of the late Andrew Messick and Gladys Gaskill Messick. Before his retirement, he had been employed with the former Price Bros. Label Company in Bridgeton for many years. He later took over the care and maintenance of the New Life Outreach Church in Deerfield Township. He enjoyed working on cars in the years past. In addition to his wife Betty, he is survived by his son, Donald A. Messick, Jr. of Upper Deerfield Twp; his daughter, Leighann Mojica (Jose) of Lawrence Twp; his twin brother, Paul Wayne Messick (Dora) of Vineland and his three sisters, Nancy Sungenis of Hopewell Twp., Robin Wood of Bridgeton and Andrea Heinze of PA. He was predeceased by a brother, Gary Messick and a sister, Suzanne Moran. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Thursday, September 29th at 10 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, September 28th from 6 to 8 PM and on Thursday morning from 9 to 10 AM prior to the services.
