Marilyn C. Walukiewicz, 88, affectionately known as “Momma Wally”of Pittsgrove Twp. passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at her home under the care of her family and hospice. Born in New Bern, NC to the late Jackson Buffaloe and Thressa Petrich Buffaloe she had been the wife of Robert F. Walukiewicz for 69 years. She had been a resident of Centerton since 1968, prior to that had resided in Bridgeton, Millville and NC. Right after finishing high school Marilyn went to work as a legal secretary for Judge Horwitz for many years. She retired from her job to go back to school and attend college, receiving a BA in Education. Her passion to advocate for children with special needs was a driving force in her decision to teach. She retired from Schalick High School in 2002 and prior to that she had worked for other Pittsgrove Twp. schools. She had been a member of Centerton Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, the Sweet Adelines Ladies Quartet, Owens Illinois Ladies Bowling League, Owens Illinois Ladies Auxiliary, and a ladies Book Club. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, and spending time with her family. Most of all, Marilyn enjoyed traveling with her husband and family to many different places. She had traversed the globe visiting all fifty states and all seven continents. She is survived by; her husband, Robert F. Walukiewicz; her son, David W. Walukiewicz (Traci); five grandchildren, Michael, Steven, Tyler, Gavin and Zachary; one brother, David Buffaloe; daughters-in-law, Denise Walukiewicz and Mary Leigh Walukiewicz; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by; three sons, Robbie Walukiewicz, Michael Walukiewicz, and Steven Walukiewicz; two brothers, Robert Buffaloe and Theodore Buffaloe; and a daughter-in-law, Beverly Walukiewicz. Memorial Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 29th at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the service.
