Obituary of Mirta Mejias

Mirta Mejias, 72, of Bridgeton, passed away at her home peacefully under the care of her loving husband and hospice. Mirta was born to the late Jenaro Lopez and Ramona Rodriguez in Yauco, Puerto Rico. Mirta moved to Hoboken, NJ and later settled in Bridgeton, NJ in 1987. Mirta was a selfless woman and a dedicated wife to her husband Angel Mejias. Together they raised their three sons, Gabriel, Alejandro “Alex” and Charlin. She was a loving mother who devoted her life to nurturing her growing family. Mirta enjoyed cooking and crafting. She had a love for plants and loved gardening. She is survived by; her loving husband, Angel Mejias; her sons, Gabriel Ruiz and Charlin Mejias; and granddaughter, Kacie Mejias; Bonus Daughter, Madelyn Frazier; Bonus Grandchildren, Stephan Frazier, Jr., Sheldon Frazier, Siara Frazier and Simari Frazier. Mirta is predeceased by; her parents, Jenaro Lopez and Ramona Rodriguez; and her son, Alejandro “Alex” Mejias. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Thursday, March 20th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the service. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery, 170 Old Deerfield Pike, Upper Deerfield Twp., following the service.
