Gary D. Albert, 77, a beloved leader of his family, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025 at his home in Hopewell Township, surrounded by his devoted family.
Born on April 1st, 1947 in Bangor, Gary was a pillar of strength and wisdom. He dedicated his life to nurturing and providing for his family. Always putting others first. Gary was known for his kind heart and unwavering love for others. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and playing golf.
Gary’s professional journey was marked by dedication and enthusiasm. After graduating High School from Old Town Maine, he was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He received the highest honors of being selected and inducted into the United Nations Honor Guard where he protected foreign and domestic dignitaries. With this duty, he discovered the core values of integrity, impartiality, and respect.
Most recently, Gary was the Broker of Record and owner of Banner Realty and AA Home Builders both of Vineland, NJ. In retirement, he spent his spare time as a school bus driver in his local community where he continued to make an impact on others.
Gary devoted his life to his Lord and savior Jesus Christ. He passionately served as a Deacon at the Hope Free Baptist Church in Upper Deerfield Township. His thought-provoking Sunday morning Bible studies will be greatly missed.
He is survived by; his most loving wife, Jane Amero, of 55 years; sister, Carol Brown and husband William; son, Gary D Albert II (Rebecca); daughters, Gina Albert (Jeff French), Jenny Nakai (Kevin), Joani Thompson (Benjamin) and Juanita Albert; 12 Grandchildren who affectionately referred to him as Bumpy, Ashley (Michael), Levi (Lindsey), Drake, Kevin, Jr. (Courtney), Abigail, Maisiejane, Grace, Benjamin, Isabella, Gabriella, Gary III and Hollis; six great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Vivian, Levi Jr., Penelope, Montgomery, Monroe. He was predeceased by; his mother, Corinne Gertrude Florentine and her husband Charles.
Gary’s memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Private services with military honors will be held at the Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery in Hopewell Township. Written condolences can be sent to the family through the funeral home website www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
