Obituary of Luis A. Velez-Kercado

Luis A. Velez-Kercado, 61, of Seabrook, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Inspira Medical Center in Elmer. Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico to Felecita Kercado and the late Conrado Velez, he had been a resident of Cumberland County since he was 30 years old. Luis had been employed with Seabrook Brothers & Sons for over 25 years. Luis attended the House of Healing Church in Norma. In his free time, he enjoyed listening to Christian music, spending time with his family and church family. Luis was always on the go and always on the phone, as he loved to socialize. He is survived by; his mother, Felecita Kercado DeJesus; siblings, Maria Velez of Egg Harbor Twp., Edwin Velez (Sonia Montalvo) of Bridgeton, Maritza Velez of Bridgeton and Mildred Velez of Bridgeton; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Cornado Velez. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 13th at 11AM at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10AM to 11AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Haleyville Methodist Cemetery in Commercial Twp.
