Obituary of Jacquelyn A. Barnes

Jacquelyn A Barnes Esq. was born in Millville, NJ September 29, 1949 to Thelma Barnes Weems and James (Jackie) Hayman. Jackie or Jack as she was lovingly called was extremely driven, and a very disciplined woman. Jackie was very fun loving and loved a good joke. She also loved to travel and spoke fondly of her travels to Africa, Aruba and countless other destinations. Jacquelyn was a graduate of Millville High School. And decided early in life to be a lawyer. She worked diligently and studied to put herself through Law School at St Augustine College in North Carolina and graduated from Howard University in Washington DC. She then moved to Philadelphia where she was then employed with the Law Firm Jacoby and Myers. Through hard work and dedication she made junior partner before retiring. Upon retirement, she enjoyed time spent with family and friends and going to special family events and traveling. She also loved to spend time with her beloved cat, Scoodie. She is preceded in death by; her fathers, James (Jackie) Hayman and Clarence Weems Jr.; her grandparents, Marie and Clarence Hayman, Martha and Amos Barnes Gilbert Green; her brother, Harold L Barnes and her sister, C. Donna Weems. She is survived by; her mother, Thelma M Weems; her brothers, Terry and Clarence Weems III (Pamela); her sisters, Carmen Weems and Kimberly Gross (Jeffrey); her Godson, Isaiah L Gross; her nieces, Victoria, Courtney, and Coriana Weems; her nephews, Brandon, Trillian Weems Jeffrey Jr and Isaiah Gross and many loving cousins and friends. Lovingly Submitted by the Family Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, March 8th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Halleyville Methodist Cemetery in Commercial Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
