Obituary of Donna C. Walters

Donna C. (Wright) Walters passed away on January 28, 2025, in Overland Park, Kansas, at the age of 79. Born on August 25, 1945, in Wilmington, DE. Donna spent her life dedicated to family, history, and a deep love for animals. Donna was a passionate member of the Woodstown Historical Society and found great fulfillment in uncovering buried headstones and documenting information so that loved ones could reconnect with their ancestors. Her dedication to preserving history was a testament to her commitment to honoring the past and ensuring that stories were not forgotten. Beyond historical preservation, Donna had an immense love for animals. Whether caring for pets or advocating for their well-being, she found joy and companionship in the presence of animals throughout her life. Donna is survived by; her brother, David; children, Debra, Donald, Mark, Deb, Donna Lynn, Nadine, Georgine, Eric, David, Katrina, Tammy and Timmy; as well as 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by; parents, David Wendell Wright and Thora Kessler Wright; husbands Art and Terry; and sons Gary and Bruce. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday March 8th at the First Wesleyan Church, 200 Laurel Heights Dr., Bridgeton, New Jersey. Burial will take place at Pittsgrove Presbyterian Cemetery at 312 Daretown Rd., Elmer, New Jersey, following the service. A reception will follow at First Wesleyan Church.
