Mother Nila Statten was born on February 2, 1931 and departed from this life February 26, 2025. Nila was the daughter of the late George and Hattie Malone and was born in Perry, Florida. Nila migrated to New Jersey in 1940 as a resident of Cedarville, then moved to Bridgeton in 1948 and from there she settled roots in Fairfield Twp. from Florida when she became an adult after both her parents became deceased and it was then that she began mother hood, raising seven children up into their adulthood in a very stable and loving home. Nila worked for PJ Ritter as a packer for over 10 years prior to retiring. She was a member of the Bethlehem Revival Temple and loved to socialize with new people. She often kept her children close to her and took the time to raise the right by teaching them about the word of God. She enjoyed the word of God and always wanted to worship and have fellowship with her loving church members of Brothers and Sisters in the church until she became the mother of the church in her elder years. She was known as Mother Statten whom she was loved very dearly through the church and community. She enjoyed singing in the church and attending church to uplift the Lord in praise! Nila is survived by; five children, Brenda Robins of Egg Harbor Twp., Eddie Hubert of Vineland, Rosalie Statten of Fairfield Twp., Michael Statten of Fairfield Twp. and Lyshron Statten of Vineland; goddaughter, Peggy Hightower; her son-in-law, Andrew Robbins many grandchildren and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by; her parents, George and Hattie Malone; five children, Floreece Statten, Johnny Stattenn, James Statten, Cornell Statten and Darryl Hubert; three brothers, John M. Hall, Emmanuel Hall and Jesse Hall; and her sister, Arlesta Howard. Lovingly Submitted, The Family Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 8th at 11 AM at the Bethlehem Revival Temple, 37 South Avenue, Bridgeton. Friends will be received at the church from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the service. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Hopewell Twp. following the service.
