Kathy Lee (Smith) Acevedo, age 58, of Bridgeton, NJ, passed away on Sunday, February 9th, 2025 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, NJ. Kathy was born in Pennsylvania, to her parents Linda Christman and Robert Smith. Throughout Kathy’s life she lived in many places like Nevada, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. For the past 30 years Kathy has lived with her husband Ruben Acevedo Sr. in a loving home in Bridgeton, NJ. In this loving home, her five children were raised; Adrienna Smith, Joshua Smith, Ernesto Smith, Ruben Acevedo Jr., and Heaven Acevedo. Kathy also had three angel babies waiting for her when she crossed over; Faith Olivia Acevedo, Destiny Rose Acevedo and Maribelen Acevedo. She had many hobbies such as, growing and caring for all her beautiful roses, to coloring in books to pass time and even to collecting her massive collection of crystals. Kathy not only loved her hobbies but she loved her family. She was a loving mother to all her children and grandchildren that included; Mya Denby, Kenya West, Hunter Smith, Blake Smith, Josalee Smith, Riley Smith, Chloe Smith. Kathy even had the blessing to see herself become a great grandmother to Noel Jackson and My’siah Jackson. She always loved starting conversation with her siblings Joyce, wife of Carl West and Michael Christman, husband of Donna. To everyone who knew Kathy, never was there a negative thought. She would brighten up any soul that crossed her path. She had a special glow around her, and she used all of her heart when giving love and kindness. May she rest in peace and be with all of our family. Thank you Kathy, sister, granny, grandma, daughter and mom. You were the light in our lives.
