Earl E. “Whitey” Ruberts, 82 of Bridgeton, passed away on Friday, March 3rd, 2023, at Cooper University Hospital. He was the son of the late Merle Ruberts and Helen Boltinghouse Ruberts. Earl had been the husband of Virginia Pierce Ruberts for the past 51 years. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed with the Cumberland County Department of Maintenance for 29 years and Economy Electric in Bridgeton for eight years. Earl was a member for over 50 years with local fire and rescue agencies including; Bridgeton Rescue Squad Station 7, Bridgeton Fire Department Station 32, Seabrook Fire and Rescue Station 35, Shiloh Fire Department, Life member of Cumberland County Fire Police, NJ State Fire Police and NJ State Fire Chiefs Association. He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife of 51 years, Virginia; his son, Earl E. Ruberts Jr. (Marie) of Sicklerville NJ; his daughter, Beth-Ann Baldasarre (John) of Vineland; his grandson, Kevin Page, Jr. (Jami Lynn); his granddaughter, Kate Page and two great-grandchildren, Jordan Tyler, and Kaelynn Rose. He was predeceased by his parents and one sister; Grace Weber. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Saturday, March 11th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at the Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery in Hopewell Township.
